A 28-year-old woman with an apparent ankle fracture was rescued Saturday from a remote part of the Temescal Ridge Trail of Topanga State Park in the Pacific Palisades.
The rescue effort began at about noon, with Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters responding on the ground and in the air, the LAFD’s Brian Humphrey said.
“An LAFD rescue helicopter has lowered a flight paramedic to medically assess and stabilize the patient, who will soon be hoisted along with the LAFD flight paramedic into the hovering helicopter for continuing in-flight care during direct air transport to an area hospital,” Humphrey said.
