A convenience store robbery early Monday in Anaheim appears connected to a spree of heists in the city and elsewhere, police said.
Several suspects clad in black and dark clothing would run off with the store’s cash registers into a dark-colored SUV getaway car, Anaheim police Sgt. Jon McClintock said.
The most recent robbery was at 1 a.m. at a Circle K at 3899 E. Riverdale Ave., McClintock said. The others were at a 7 Eleven at 775 N. East St. about 10 p.m. Sunday and a Shell Gas Station at 3080 E. La Palma Ave. about 10:21 p.m. Sunday.
Investigators suspect the robberies are connected to one in Fullerton and several others in Los Angeles County, McClintock said.
Anyone with information helpful to investigators was asked to call Anaheim police at 714-765-1900 or alert Orange County Crime Stoppers, which will accept anonymous tips, at 855-TIP-OCCS.
