A man suspected of brandishing a weapon was arrested Wednesday after leading authorities on a pursuit and crashing into another vehicle in the North Hollywood area.
Officers responded to reports of a person brandishing a weapon in the Beverly Hills area at about 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department.
The suspect drove recklessly on surface streets, including on the wrong side of Mulholland Drive at one point, and narrowly missed oncoming traffic multiple times before crashing into another vehicle at Colfax Avenue and Erwin Street.
The suspect drove at speeds approaching 100 mph and sped through several red lights, according to KCAL. He slammed into the passenger side of a white sedan at Colfax and Erwin before getting out of his vehicle and fleeing on foot.
