A 35-40 year-old man was killed Thursday in Montebello, prompting a homicide investigation.
Officers from the Montebello Police Department responded to the 2900 block of Via San Delarro around 3:47 p.m. regarding a welfare check. When they arrived, they found the victim suffering from apparent blunt-force trauma to the upper torso, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s homicide Lt. Michael Gomez.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
LASD homicide detectives are assisting Montebello police with the investigation.
