Police Friday are investigating a stabbing in Long Beach.
Long Beach Police Department officers were called to the 300 block of Orange Avenue at 4:32 a.m. regarding a stabbing. When officers arrived, they found the victim with non-life-threatening stab wounds to the upper body, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel were called to the scene and took the man to a hospital for treatment for his injuries.
According to the preliminary investigation, the victim was approached by a man that he knew and an unknown suspect, who suddenly stabbed him. The suspects left the scene before officers arrived, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
