Two people were killed Monday morning when they were ejected from a vehicle during a crash in the Wildomar area of Riverside County between Lake Elsinore and Murrieta.
The crash was reported to the California Highway Patrol at 12:36 a.m. and happened on the southbound Temecula Valley (15) Freeway just north of Bundy Canyon Road.
Witnesses told the CHP a van crashed into the center divider and burst into flames. A witness said the van was driven recklessly before the crash, the CHP said.
The two crash victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
