A Silver Alert was issued for a missing 82-year-old man Thursday evening after he was last seen in West Covina.
Amadeo Flores was last seen near West Merced and South Sunset avenues around 3 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the West Covina Police Department.
Flores is Latino, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a brown plaid shirt, dark green pants, a gray hat and black shoes.
Authorities say Flores is known to visit parks in Baldwin Park and often uses public transportation.
Anyone who has seen Flores or knows of his whereabouts was asked to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
