A 30-year-old man was shot to death Friday in Compton.
The fatal shooting occurred around 6:25 a.m. Friday in the 2200 block of West 153rd Street, near Bursch Elementary School, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The victim suffered gunshot wounds to the upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the department.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner later identified the man as Bryan Haywood.
There was no suspect information and a possible motive for the shooting was unclear.
