A 28-year-old man was found dead Wednesday in the lake at MacArthur Park, and police suspect foul play.

Two suspects may be connected to the death, Officer Rosario Cervantes of the LAPD’s media relations division told City News Service — but no suspects were in custody and police had no descriptions.

Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 8:18 a.m. Wednesday to the 2200 block of Sixth Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The man’s body was discovered in the northeast section of the lake.

He later was identified by the medical examiner as Kyle Sherwood, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further information was immediately available. Reports from the scene suggested the man may have been in a fight with one or more people, and he was ultimately pushed into the lake.
