A pedestrian was struck and killed in a three-car collision on the Pasadena (134) Freeway just west of Glendale, authorities said Friday.
The crash was reported at 10:13 p.m. Thursday near the junction of the eastbound Pasadena Freeway and the Glendale (2) Freeway and responding California Highway Patrol officers found the victim lying in one of the eastbound freeway’s lanes, along with the damaged vehicles, CHP Officer Sergio Garcia told City News Service.
Cervando Velasquez, 57, died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner. His city of residence was not known.
The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
