A fire that damaged the upstairs unit of a two-story Watts duplex left 10 people without a place to live Saturday evening.
The fire was reported at 8:46 p.m. Saturday at 10617 S. Wilmington Ave., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Brian Humphrey. It was put out around 9:15 p.m. with no injuries.
The American Red Cross was summoned to assist 10 displaced residents, Humphrey said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation, he said.
