A vegetation fire burned roughly 200 acres in Palm Springs Monday.
Officials from the Palm Springs Fire Department responded to the fire near Tramway Road at 11:25 a.m. Monday, according to the city. The blaze quickly spread across about 200 acres, and additional crews were called in to help quell the flames.
The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway halted operations due to the smoke and visibility issues.
No evacuation warnings were immediately issued, and no injuries or structural damage were reported.
