A man was fatally stabbed Tuesday in the unincorporated Lennox area.

Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s South Los Angeles Station were on patrol around 12:27 p.m. when they were flagged down regarding a stabbing at the intersection of 111th Street and Larch Avenue, said homicide Lt. Patricia Thomas.

Deputies found the victim with stab wounds to the upper torso and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel took him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Thomas said.

It was unclear what may have motivated the attack, and there was no description of a suspect. The victim was not immediately identified.
