A man crossing a Sylmar street outside of a crosswalk was struck by an SUV and killed Monday morning.
The crash occurred around 2:15 a.m. Monday on Foothill Boulevard at Arroyo Street, according to a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.
The man, believed about 60 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene, the officer said.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with police, he said.
