Three people were killed Friday after one person was ejected from a black SUV and three others were trapped inside it during a violent crash in Monterey Park.
Officers from the Monterey Park Police Department responded to East Graves Avenue and Cecil Street at 12:34 a.m. where they found the SUV, which had struck a tree, hit three vehicles and rolled over on its roof, according to reports from the scene.
The victim who had been ejected was found on the roof of a nearby residence, NBC 4 reported.
Three victims were pronounced dead at the scene and two others — including a 7-year-old child — were taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.
NBC 4 also reported police said the driver was speeding prior to the crash.
