A fire in Elysian Park that burned less than an acre of brush was knocked down in 48 minutes by 36 firefighters Friday evening.
The fire in steep terrain near the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway and the Arroyo Seco (110) Parkway was reported around 9:07 p.m. Friday, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange.
Firefighters made an aggressive attack on the burning brush by ground and air, Prange said.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remained under investigation.
