A trespasser jumped in front of a Metro B (Red) Line train entering the Hollywood and Highland station Friday and sustained serious injuries to his lower body.

The man was hit around 5:05 p.m. Friday and taken by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics to a hospital in unknown condition, according to Jose Ubaldo, Metro’s media relations manager.

The accident caused trains to share one track between the Universal City and Hollywood/Vine stations from the time of the accident until around 7:50 p.m. when normal service resumed, according to Metro.
