A woman was killed and a man was wounded in a vehicle-to-vehicle shooting in the south Los Angeles area, authorities said Friday.
The shooting occurred about 10:30 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of West 84th Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The woman, who was driving one of the vehicles, died at the scene, police said. On Friday, she was identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner as 34-year-old Ruby Yolanda Sorto. The wounded man was treated at the scene and released, police said.
