Firefighters Saturday were battling a blaze on the second floor of an abandoned and boarded-up Victorian house near USC.
The fire was reported around 11:05 p.m. at 718 W. 30th Street, east of Hoover Street, in the University Park neighborhood, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
The roughly 45-hundred-square-foot home was built in 1905, Humphrey said.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
