It took 32 firefighters 23 minutes to put out flames in a three-car garage attached to a Wilmington house Saturday.

The fire was reported at 7:21 p.m. Saturday at 24817 S. Baypoint Ave., north of East Lomita Boulevard, said the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Brian Humphrey.

Firefighters were initially concerned the flames spread into the attic of the 1,800-square-foot house but there was only smoke, Humphrey said.

The fire was out at 7:44 p.m., he said.

No injuries were reported.
