A man suffered smoke inhalation at a detached garage fire Sunday in the Green Meadows community of South Los Angeles, authorities said.
Firefighters dispatched at 12:19 p.m. to the structure that had been partially converted to a living space at 340 E. 95th St. had the blaze out within 12 minutes of their arrival, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
The victim was taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation injuries. No other injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
