Authorities sought help from the public Friday in locating a 49-year-old woman last seen in Whittier.
Monique Addie Garcia Mejia was last seen in the 11000 block of Santa Gertudes Avenue on July 8 around 9 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Mejia was described as a 5-foot-6-inch tall Hispanic woman weighing 150 pounds with brown hair and eyes. She was last seen wearing a white tank top with blue and red plaid pajama pants.
Sheriff’s officials said they believe Mejia may be driving a blue 2005 four-door Toyota Camry with California license plate 5KFZ903.
Anyone with information regarding Mejia’s whereabouts was urged to contact the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau Missing Persons Detail at 323-890-5500.
