A Silver Alert was issued Friday for an 89-year-old man diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease last seen in the Pico-Robertson district.
John Doo Song was last seen at approximately 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the 8700 block of Olympic Boulevard, between Robertson and La Cienega boulevards, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Song was described as a 5-foot-10-inch tall Asian man weighing 135 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen walking and wearing a long-sleeved white shirt, navy blue pants and black running shoes.
Song does not possess a cellphone and might not be carrying an ID.
Police said Song’s family is growing concerned about his well-being due to his medical condition that requires medication.

The Silver Alert was issued by the California Highway Patrol on behalf of the LAPD. The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the suspicious or disappearance of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
