Firefighters were able to contain a residential fire in Blythe that injured two people in just over an hour Friday.

The blaze was first reported at 12:19 p.m. Friday in the 18200 block of Keim Boulevard. A single-wide mobile home was showing smoke from the structure’s exterior, according to a Riverside County Fire Department statement.

Officials were able to contain the fire at 1:22 p.m., department spokesperson Rob Roseen told City News Service.

Two patients were identified from the incident, with one being transported by ground and the other in the process of working with an air ambulance for transport, Roseen said. Information on the patients’ identities or the nature of their injuries was not available.

Crews on scene were starting to be released after 1:50 p.m., according to Roseen.
