A 19-year-old man suspected of fatally stabbing a woman and injuring a man during an attack in Wilmington was taken into custody, police said Monday.
Officers responded to the 900 block of North Banning Boulevard shortly before 12:40 a.m. Sunday and found two adult victims suffering from stab wounds, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Los Angeles Fire Department pronounced a 43-year-old woman dead at the scene. The second victim, a 39-year-old man, was taken to a hospital with stable vital signs.
According to police, the suspect, identified as Henry Briones, was taken into custody at the scene and booked on suspicion of murder. There was no immediate information on what led to the attack.
