A 46-year-old man was scheduled to be arraigned Monday for the 2006 fatal shooting of a 21-year-old man in Costa Mesa.

Pedro Gallegos-Garcia is charged with murder and use of a firearm, both felonies, in a shooting of Hermes Rodriguez on Feb. 12, 2006.

Gallegos-Garcia was extradited from Mexico Thursday night and booked into the Orange County Jail on Friday, according to jail records.

Gallegos-Garcia was a suspect in the shooting following a fight in the 2000 block of Wallace Avenue, police said. Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Hamilton Street for a report on a gunshot victim and found him the driveway of a home.
