Riverside County Fire Department personnel continued their efforts Thursday against a blaze in an Indio strip mall.
The fire was first reported at 8:15 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of Dr. Carreon Boulevard and Monroe Street, according to a department statement.
An engine crew reported smoke rising from the building’s roof, according to the statement. Multiple crews are battling flames in two units, with a second alarm being requested.
It was not immediately clear if there were any injuries.
