The California Highway Patrol Saturday issued a Silver Alert to help locate a 76-year-old woman missing from Van Nuys.

Geraldine Hunter was last seen at 1:45 p.m. Friday at Vose Street and Van Nuys Boulevard, according to the CHP. She is believed to be on foot.

Hunter suffers from dementia, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Hunter is Black, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 180 pounds, with white hair and blue eyes, last seen wearing a gray hat, blue sweater and black pants.

Anyone with information was asked to call 911.

The CHP activates a Silver Alert when an elderly, developmentally, or cognitively impaired person is missing and determined to be at-risk to help locate them quickly.
