A Silver Alert was issued Friday for a 69-year-old woman diagnosed with dementia last seen walking from her residence on the border of Harbor Gateway and the unincorporated Athens area.
Cassandra Savage was last seen Thursday at about 7 p.m. near the intersection of 120th Street and Vermont Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Savage was described as a 5-foot-6-inch tall Black woman weighing 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, pants and a white scarf.
Police said Savage’s family is growing concerned about her well-being due to her medical condition, which requires medication.

The Silver Alert was issued by the California Highway Patrol on behalf of the LAPD. The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the suspicious or disappearance of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
