Two people were arrested in Norco on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department announced Saturday.
Deputies conducted a DUI checkpoint near the intersection of Hamner Avenue and Third Street from 7 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. Saturday.
A total of 551 vehicles were screened, according to the sheriff’s department.
Two people were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and another person was arrested on suspicion of an unspecified felony, authorities said.
Funding for the checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
