An 85-year-old man with health complications disappeared Monday after wandering away from his family’s Murrieta home, prompting a region-wide search to find him.

Raymond Groveau was last seen around 10 a.m. near his residence in the area of Avenida Florita and Jackson Avenue, adjacent to the Colony Golf Course, according to the Murrieta Police Department.

His family became concerned when they couldn’t locate him and called 911.

A “Silver Alert” was issued by the California Highway Patrol to ensure law enforcement throughout Riverside County and adjacent counties will be on the lookout for Groveau.

A Silver Alert focuses on finding missing seniors throughout the state.

“He is believed to be on foot,” the CHP said.

Authorities didn’t disclose Groveau’s health challenges, including whether he suffers from dementia.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts was asked to contact his or her local law enforcement agency, or call 911, immediately.
