A search was underway Thursday evening for a person who fell off a boat, possibly south of Point Dume.
Personnel from the Los Angeles County Fire Department Lifeguard Division and U.S. Coast Guard were searching the area between Point Dume and Marina del Rey Thursday afternoon for someone who fell off a boat.
Aerial footage showed a Coast Guard vessel involved in the search, as a LACFD helicopter hovered over Marina del Rey during the operation.
The exact location where the person fell off the boat remains unclear.
There was no additional description of the person sought.
