A Silver Alert was in effect Sunday for a 61-year-old man last seen in Palmdale who authorities said has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and dementia.
Isaias Ruiz Romero was last seen Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the 3700 block of Tournament Drive, near Pebble Beach Drive, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Romero is Latino, 5-feet-7 inches tall, weighs 125 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, navy blue sweats and black shoes.
Anyone with information regarding Romero was urged to call 911.
The Silver Alert was issued Saturday by the California Highway Patrol on behalf of the LASD. The program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the disappearance of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
