A man was wounded Tuesday in a shooting at a gas station in Northridge, and an investigation was underway.
Officers were sent to the 19300 block of Parthenia Street at 6:20 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The wounded man was taken to a hospital in unknown condition, police said.
The suspect was described as a male about 5-feet-8 inches to 5-feet-10 inches tall with a heavy build, who wore a gray hooded sweatshirt and carried a black handgun, according to police.
According to reports from the scene, the victim was pumping gas when the suspect opened fire on him, wounding him in the head. The motive for the shooting was not clear.
