Los Angeles County authorities Wednesday identified the second victim who was killed in a multi-vehicle crash in the Lake Los Angeles area southeast of Lancaster.
The victim was identified as Juanita Ruffner, 79, by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner’s office. The medical examiner’s office identified the first victim, Jesus Garcia Ibarra, 30, on Monday.
Paramedics were sent to East Palmdale Boulevard and 152nd Street East about 11:40 a.m. Monday, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Traffic was routed away from the area while an investigation was conducted into the circumstances of the crash, according to the California Highway Patrol. Utility crews were sent to the scene to repair a power pole that was damaged, the CHP reported.
