A 55-year-old insurance broker from Bellflower pleaded not guilty Wednesday to stealing more than $100,000 from clients.

Andre DeGazon was charged Nov. 13 with eight counts of grand theft and grand theft by embezzlement as well as 11 counts of money laundering, all felonies. DeGazon also faces sentencing enhancements for aggravated white collar crime between $100,000 to $500,000.

DeGazon was arrested on a warrant Jan. 29 and posted $200,000 bail, according to court records. DeGazon was next due in court March 27 for a pretrial hearing.

DeGazon is accused of taking $105,816.42 in premiums between June 2022 and October 2023 but failing to remit them to insurance carriers and pocketing the money, according to the state Department of Insurance.

DeGazon owns Liability Risk Management and Insurance Services, Inc., His insurance license expired in July 2024, according to the Department of Insurance.
