A man was in the hospital in critical condition Friday after he was shot while driving in Panorama City.
Los Angeles Police Department officers were called at 1:25 a.m. to 9022 Van Nuys Blvd. near Nordhoff Street where they learned the driver and a suspect walking in the street had engaged in a verbal altercation before the shooting, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
During the argument, the suspect drew a gun and shot the victim, who then crashed into the fence of an apartment complex.
The suspect ran away from the scene in an unknown direction.
