Firefighters Sunday knocked down several small grass fires along the Santa Monica (10) Freeway in the West Adams community of Los Angeles that were being investigated as potential acts of arson.

Firefighters dispatched at 11:32 a.m. Sunday to the westbound freeway at La Brea Avenue had the fires out within 35 minutes of their arrival, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported. The LAFD said arson personnel were “responding to investigate these as potentially suspicious starts.”
