Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters knocked down a fire at a one-story home in the Broadway-Manchester area of South Los Angeles Tuesday.
Fire crews were called at 4:28 a.m. to 155 W. 117th St. where they encountered flames coming from the residence, said LAFD spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
The fire was extinguished in 18 minutes.
