Police were evacuating a high school in Van Nuys Wednesday after it received an anonymous call containing a shooting threat.
The Birmingham Community Charter High School at 17000 Haynes St., north of the Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area, received an anonymous phone call around 9:10 a.m. Wednesday, a spokesperson for Los Angeles Police Department told City News Service.
Police were on the scene assisting in evacuations to clear the premises of students and faculty. The credibility of the threat and the motive behind the call were still under investigation, according to the LAPD.
