A man holed up inside a 7-Eleven in Van Nuys Saturday amid conflicting reports that he might be armed with a handgun or glass bottle, authorities said.
Officers were dispatched at about 4 a.m. Saturday to the 15300 block of Vanowen Street, at Sepulveda Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.
The suspect was described a man about 35 years old, wearing a black T-shirt and white pants.
A SWAT team was called to the location at about 5:30 a.m.
