Two people were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol in Jurupa Valley, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department announced Saturday.
Deputies conducted a DUI checkpoint on Mission Boulevard, west of Pedley Road, between the hours of 8 p.m. Friday and 2 a.m. Saturday.
A total of 198 vehicles were screened, and two drivers were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol while an additional person was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant, according to the sheriff’s department.
Funding for the checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
