A 43-year-old man was charged Friday with attacking a victim with a machete in Santa Ana.
Alberto Tlaltilpanpablo was charged with attempted murder with sentencing enhancements for attempted premeditated murder and inflicting great bodily injury on the victim.
The defendant was accused of attacking the victim about 1:35 a.m. June 30 near Cabrillo Park Drive and East Fruit Street, police said.
Tlaltilpanpablo was ordered held on $500,000 bail. His arraignment on Friday was rescheduled for Oct. 2 in the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana.
