A 20-year-old man was charged Friday with a shooting at two victims in a convenience store in Westminster.
Joshua Cruz was charged with two counts of assault with a firearm, with sentencing enhancements for being armed with a gun in the commission of a felony, and personal use of a gun.
Cruz pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Friday in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana. He will return to court Sept. 23 for a pretrial hearing in the West Justice Center in Westminster.
Police were dispatched about 1:30 a.m. Thursday to the store in the 6500 block of Westminster Boulevard, police said.
No one was injured in the shooting, police said. A man and a boy were listed as victims in the criminal complaint.
