Los Angeles Fire Department personnel battled heavy flames at a three-story strip mall that contained three commercial buildings before extinguishing them Tuesday in the West Adams neighborhood.
Fire crews were called at 2:09 a.m. to 2601 S. La Brea Ave. near West Adams Boulevard, where they found a check cashing store, a sandwich shop, a wireless services store and the attic of the one-story strip mall engulfed in flames, said LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey.
It took 50 firefighters 52 minutes to knock down the flames.
No injuries were reported.
