A 64-year-old homeless man was shot to death Monday in Compton.
The shooting was reported at 12:09 a.m. in the 1500 block of North Wilmington Avenue, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Tracy Koerner told City News Service.
The man was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Koerner said.
He was identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner as Darrell Andre Perkins.
No other information was immediately available.
