A 19-year-old Beaumont woman last seen over a week ago was the subject of an ongoing search Monday in the Inland Empire and neighboring locations.
Zareya Curtis was reported missing last week when her loved ones could not confirm her whereabouts after days without communication, according to the Beaumont Police Department and California Highway Patrol.
The CHP issued a regional “Ebony Alert” in connection with the missing person case because Curtis is Black.
“Curtis was last seen on Sept. 22 at midnight in Beaumont,” according to the agency. “She was wearing a black shirt, black pants and red Croc (shoes). She is believed to be on foot.”
There was no word on where she had been or what she had been doing immediately prior to her disappearance.
The missing woman is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds.
Anyone with information was asked to contact the nearest law enforcement agency.
