A Silver Alert was issued Tuesday for a 73-year old man who was reported missing in Long Beach.
Truman Simon was last seen at approximately 5:20 p.m. Tuesday near California Avenue and East 61st Street, said the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Long Beach Police Department.
Simon is Black, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs 110 pounds, has gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a baseball cap, a white buttoned up shirt, gray sweatpants and tan shoes. Authorities believe Simon may be traveling on foot.
Anyone who sees Simon or knows of his whereabouts was asked to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
