An arson suspect was taken into custody Sunday by personnel from the Enforcement Bureau of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department about six hours after he barricaded himself inside a Palmdale apartment.
The crime was reported around 5 p.m. Sunday, and SEB assisted the sheriff’s Palmdale Station.
Details about the fire were not provided, and a description of the suspect was not provided.
Residents from the surrounding houses were evacuated to safety, according to LASD.
The SEB reported about 11 p.m. that the suspect was detained without incident and evacuated residents were allowed to return to their homes.
