Two people were injured Saturday in a two-vehicle collision in Perris.
The crash was reported at 4:28 p.m. Saturday at East Morgan Street and North Perris Boulevard, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The vehicles sustained major damage and one of the patients was trapped and needed to be freed by firefighters with hydraulic tools, according to the department.
One patient suffered critical injuries and one had moderate injuries, fire officials said. Both were taken by ambulances to hospitals for treatment.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department was investigating the crash.
